Happy Holidays

Ho Ho Ho... Merry Christmas!

Now imagine our girls' holding their bellies, trying to make them (what little they have) jiggle like a bowl full of jelly, and re-read the intro. I smile every time they do this as we read The Night Before Christmas, a current favorite in our house. Right along with Clifford's Big Red Easter book, a book that always seems to make an appearance around every holiday, courtesy of Ellie.

I continue to be amazed at all our children are capable of and the intensity and dynamics to which they add to our family. All three of our children are pure joy, love, and full of life. For which we are grateful to be able to say that we are their Moms.

Abby and Eliana (Ellie) are 4 1/2 years old and are attending a 1/2 day preschool program. They have their own classes, their own teachers, their own preschool friends and on all accounts appear to love their experiences. They have grown so much over the year, but it isn't until we really look back and compare that we notice the differences.

Outside of preschool, the girls are enjoying swimming lessons. There is a break in sessions at the moment and they can't wait to start swimming again. They are also attending Sunday school and singing in choir at Church. I foresee some sports entering our lives in the near future. They are showing specific interest in soccer amongst other activities. While they are choosing to participate in the same activities, their personalities remain so distinct and unique. It will be fascinating to watch them grow and see the paths their lives follow.

Spencer is just turning 20 months old and he continues to stay home with his Mommy full time. He is a precocious and fast little guy, that isn't so little for his age. He believes he can do all things the big kids do and he strongly feels that he is entitled to fair and equal opportunity and treatment. In reality, he keeps up with them pretty well. In reality, it is a challenge to keep up with him. His love of life is balls, any and all balls big or small. He's got an awesome kick and a wicked arm, so watch out! Basketball is a current favorite, and of course the accompanying commentary "He shoots and he scores!" is necessary to complete his experience. We are taking odds that contact sports are in our future.

Carie continues to be an awesome, loving, patient, and caring stay at home mom. I have no idea how she does it, but she does and she is giving our family the best gift ever. In addition to caring for our three, she continues to care for the neighbor twins who are best buds with our kids. They see each other every day of the week and yet our kids miss them on the weekends.

I continue to work outside the home as an IS Project Manager. When I'm not at work, I'm chauffeuring the girls' to and from preschool and having fun with my family.
